Way Day of Caring October
4, 2007
Approximately 30 college
students from a youth leadership development class, Collegiate FFA,
Collegiate 4-H, and Minorties in Agriculture and Natural Resources
Association (MANRA) will particpate in the Day of Caring. The students
will participate in service-learning projects at the State College
YMCA and Easter Seals organization.

Service Learning Study Abroad Program Spring
2004
This eight day project
in Belize Central America addressed the current needs of undergraduate
students in the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University
of Belize. Eight students took part in an assessment of the workforce
needs of undergradute students and the science industry in Belize.

Cobbs
Creek Community Environmental Educational Center
Fall 2003
The following pictures
are from a service-learning project undertaken by students in the
College of Agricultural Sciences at Cobbs Creek Community Environmental
Educational Center in Philadelphia. Students were involved in a
weekend of activities at the center that ranged from building up
the ground for erosion to clearing ground for planting purposes.
Form many students, this was their first time experiencing agriculture
in an urban area and working with diverse cultures. Click
